Dubbo Open Day, held on Sunday 18 May 2008, was a great success with an estimated attendance of almost 1,000 people throughout the day.
A special thank you to Flight Nurses Diana Kumnick and Gayle Leverett, Captain Craig Nethery, and Dr Tony Mayne and Dr Klaartje Caminada for their medical retrieval presentations, which enthralled the crowd during all three sessions!
A big thank you to Terry Clark, President of the Dubbo Support Group and Board Member, for acting as MC for the day and for organising many of the displays. Also a big thank you goes to Joan Treweeke, Vice President of the Board for travelling to Dubbo Base and officially cutting the celebration cake while we all sang 'Happy Birthday'.
The Dubbo Support Group did a sterling job selling RFDS merchandise with over $4,000 in sales! Thank you also to Rachael Mayne and her children, Chris, Patrick and Lucy for doing a lot of the 'legwork' and helping out on the day, we couldn't have done it without you!!
Thank you to Clyde Thomson for recognising the efforts we all put into make the day a success for everyone! Below are a few photos of the happenings of the day!
