Fedex presents Flying Doctor with $11,500 cheque
Mr Rhicke Jennings, FedEx Express (FedEx) Managing Director for Australia, New Zealand and the PacificIslands presented a cheque for $11,500 at the Bankstown Open Day on Sunday 18 May.
This is the third year that FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company, have supported the RFDS.
The $11,500 will be put towards the purchase of a portable ultrasound machine for the Flying Doctor’s base in Dubbo. Access to ultrasound equipment is vital to enable high quality images inside the body to be taken, hence aiding diagnosis whilst transporting critically ill or traumatised patients.
The Flying Doctor is very grateful to FedEx for their continued generosity and support.
