A Flying Doctor Medical Chest Once diagnosed, a patient may require medicine not easily accessed in remote areas. We provide comprehensive Medical Chests to various remote outposts. The chests contain a wide range of pharmaceutical supplies and medicines so our patients can more readily obtain the medicine prescribed by the consulting doctor.

The RFDS supplies 3,500 medical chests to outposts across Australia including pubs, parks, police stations and remote homesteads. The contents of these chests are regularly reviewed at a national level to ensure their relevancy and currency.
