Sydney Quilt and Craft Fare, 11-15 June 2008
A creative tribute to the Royal Flying Doctor Service
A unique exhibition of spectacular quilts will be on display to the public at the Sydney Quilt and Craft Fare Wednesday 11 June to Sunday 15 June.
The exhibition will celebrate 80 years of service from the Royal Flying Doctor Service to the people of Australia. Organised by RFDS Victorian Section Board member Mrs. Denise Reynolds the exhibition is also a competition with the winner receiving a cheque for $5000 courtesy of Bernina Australia.
The competition was judged by experts from the quilting, textile and fashion industry and the winner announced at a Gala Cocktail Party on Thursday 15 May in Melbourne.
Entrants were asked to create a quilt of their own design depicting the work and or environment of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia over the last 80 years.

The exhibition will tour all States of Australia in 2008/2009.
