In order to cover a vast expanse of territory and to meet the medical needs of the people living, working and travelling in remote and rural Australia, the Flying Doctor forms partnerships with other health, educational and corporate organisations.
In the SE Section of the RFDS, we have formed strong alliances with the Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation, the Greater Western Area Health Service, the University of Sydney’s Department of Rural Health (at Broken Hill) and School of Rural Health (at Dubbo) and various air ambulance services.
We have also forged a unique partnership with Santos Ltd. to provide health facilities for their employees working in the Oil and Gas Fields in Moomba and Ballera.
These special ties help us broaden our horizons and ensure the provision of cost effective aeromedical services to those who need it when they need it the most.
